To request a new URL, you will need to request a new CNAME from the UC Merced networking team. Go to https://ucmerced.service-now.com/servicehub?id=public_kb_article&sys_id=4a5bdd7b1b27a0543a003112cd4bcb5c&form_id=b7bde3a34fba46002f3bd49f0310c742 and select "DNS Change Settings". Update the "Short Request Description" and "DNS Change Details" fields (they will be identical):

"Please create a CNAME for <new site URL> to reference 672ellb0102-vip01.blackmesh.com"

...where <new site URL> is something like "mysite.ucmerced.edu".

If a CNAME already exists but it points to a different server, the request should be:

"Please change the CNAME for <new site URL> to reference 672ellb0102-vip01.blackmesh.com"
